A visit to Taiwan will bring little to Nancy Pelosi - nothing will stop her from being elected to the US Congress once again. This visit will not give anything real to the United States itself.
The question arises: why was all this necessary: Will it arrive / will it not arrive? Sit/not sit? Start/not start?
It is obvious that recently many have begun to forget that the world is unipolar. Moreover, every day the number of those who doubt that the world is still unipolar is increasing?
Pelosi's trip was carried out for the sole purpose of demonstrating to skeptics that nothing has changed in the world: the United States was and remains the hegemon!
By the fact of arriving in Taiwan, they try to portray themselves in such a way that their mere presence is enough to perceive the success of Taiwan. That is, they are trying to show everyone that "with whom the hegemon is right!" The United States has demonstrated this before, and far from in one country. The problem is that just one “demonstration of presence” is no longer enough: it is very “worn out and outdated”. Many understand that the US does not set itself the task of practical protection and real assistance when it "shows presence." Quite the contrary: the Americans are replacing real protection with a demonstration of their presence.
I'm afraid that very soon Taiwan will feel this substitution. How people in Ukraine feel it now.
