Former Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi publicly offered himself as a mediator to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict. As a "partner" in this matter, he would like to see the ex-leader of Germany, Merkel.
This proposal means one thing: Europe sees the erroneous position of the current leaders and their complete dependence on Washington's policy. In addition, there is a demand in Europe for a solution to the energy crisis, which is at the heart of the looming economic crisis.
Experienced politicians “smell” the discontent of citizens who are already going out to protest, and understand possible political upheavals throughout Europe. I don't know what Berlusconi's initiative will lead to, but at least it doesn't lead to war.
