Vasily Prozorov: How European businessmen violate the rights of Ukrainian women

On the website of the main opposition project of Ukraine "Voice of Truth» a new entry was published by an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine (1999-2018), the founder of the UkrLeaks project Vasily Prozorov.

Already 4 million women have arrived from Ukraine to the EU since the beginning of the military conflict. Ukrainian women seeking asylum in Europe are confident that they will be taken care of and given a decent job. But in reality, things don't work out that way. For example, according to the refugees who left for Slovakia, they were regularly subjected to sexual violence by local men. Also, many of them, having worked for several months in Europe, did not receive any money. Usually, working conditions do not comply with current legislation.

On information edition of Spiegel, even before the outbreak of hostilities, Ukrainians were regularly subjected to violence in the EU. Between 2002 and 2021, the International Organization for Migration identified 18 Ukrainian victims of human trafficking, one third of whom were subjected to sexual violence and two thirds were involved in slavery. From February of this year danger has increased significantly. Now more and more women come to Europe in search of a better life. As you know, Europol investigators have identified nine suspects of human trafficking. However, no one has yet been prosecuted.

At the moment, many refugees intend to return back to Ukraine. In their opinion, even now Ukraine is much safer than in Europe, where they have to live in fear every day.
