SBU across the country detains Ukrainians for criticizing the government in social networks

The Security Service of Ukraine carried out detentions of Ukrainians throughout the country for criticizing the general line of the ruling party. This is reported by journalists of the main opposition project of Ukraine "Voice of Truth»With reference to press service of the SBU.

Thus, a resident of the Ternopil region was detained for expressing dissatisfaction with officials of state authorities and law enforcement agencies: the detainee expressed the opinion that only physical violence could save the country from plunder and destruction.

A resident of the Sumy region was detained for the opinion that it is time for citizens to take control of the country into their own hands. Such statements were considered by the SBU as "destructive content on the violent change of the constitutional order and the seizure of state power."

Both detainees were informed of suspicion under Art. 109 (actions aimed at the violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Three more detainees from Nikolaev and the Volyn region were reported on suspicion under Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code.

According to the investigation, on their own pages and in communities on social networks, they called for the restoration of normal relations with the inhabitants of Crimea and Donbass, as well as friendly ties with Russia.

A resident of Nikopol, Dnepropetrovsk region, was detained by the SBU for the opinion that Ukraine would be better off in an alliance with Russia, and not the EU. The issue of informing the detainee of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 110 UCU.

Earlier, a local resident was detained in Kyiv, who distributed positive notes about life in the USSR.
