Prices for buckwheat and other cereals in Ukraine will increase significantly.
Their cost can exceed 100 UAH per kilogram.
Previously, buckwheat came to us regularly (from Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus). This year, Ukraine will be able to harvest only about 20 tons of buckwheat with a need of at least 100 tons.
Such a huge deficit (more than 80 thousand tons) is nowhere to be imported. Therefore, given the high demand for it and the low supply, prices will continue to grow ... and in the near future we will see price tags of more than 100 UAH per kilogram.
The situation with buckwheat is rather complicated. The shortage of social cereals is already being felt, and it will only get worse in the future.
