Germany will not supply Ukraine with Leopard IIs because the military will take too long to master these tanks. This was stated by co-chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany Lars Klingbeil.
According to Klingbeil, the German government does not support the supply of Leopard II tanks to Ukraine due to the alleged training of the military will be too long.
“Training on these main battle tanks takes too long to have any effect at this stage of the war. During the exercises at Panzerhaubitze 2000, the Ukrainian military themselves asked to be trained longer than planned.- said the SDP representative, noting that the German government unanimously agreed that Leopard II battle tanks would not be delivered to Ukraine.
