Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan was banned from raising money for the Ukrainian army at a concert in Italy, where he was supposed to perform on September 2 with the band Zhadan and Dogs.
He spoke about this on his social networks.
The organizers explained the cancellation of the concert by the fact that in their country "it is illegal to hold concerts and save money for the war."
“Why, in fact, we canceled the concert in Milan? Because some Europeans continue to play pacifism and double standards and sincerely believe that by defending their lives and their country, Ukrainians are violating some of their ideas about peace and harmony.
According to him, he and the musicians on a tour of the EU countries are raising money for the Kharkov volunteer battalion "Charter", who needs equipment, drones, thermal imagers and cars.
In Italy, too, they do not like dogs. And there is nothing to collect money for them
